At the campsite reception, we are regularly asked this question: what can we do if it rains?<\/strong>
There are many possibilities in the Vend\u00e9e, but we like to suggest that our customers discover the Vend\u00e9e historial<\/strong>.
It’s the perfect place to learn about our department’s rich history in a fun way.
Even at the height of the summer season, a few drops of rain can fall on your path and upset your holiday plans.
Gone are the afternoons on the beach, now it’s time for history!
Nevertheless, it was a memorable half-day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Route to the Vend\u00e9e historical site<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Located in Le Luc sur Boulogne, this museum is 40 minutes from the campsite.
You’ll need your car to get there. On-site parking is free and easy<\/strong>.
It’s a place where everyone can remember. Preserving memory so you can pass on history to your children.
Within the museum, you’ll move around different areas.
The museum is divided into 6 rooms<\/strong>: Geology, Prehistory, Antiquity, Medieval Millenium, Vend\u00e9e Wars, 19th century. You’ll retrace almost 7,000 years of history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The museum organizes activities for children<\/strong>. A 300M\u00b2 space is specially reserved for them.
Children aged 9 to 11 can follow a guided tour of the museum using a tablet. As they explore the museum, they’ll have to solve a riddle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of this morning rich in discovery, if the rain has subsided, you can resume your activities.
Alternatively, you can round off the day with a visit to the aquarium.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
